The Fuse
Equity futures are down a bit, well off their highs and lows as markets had a volatile night while most of us were sleeping. The range was huge in futures, from 6840 to 6900 in the matter of minutes. No doubt the catalyst is uncertainty in the Middle East and higher implied volatility.
Stocks across the pond were down some, the STOXX index down .4% led by losses in France and Germany. FTSE was down as well, off .3% but the US dollar index rose the same amount. Yields are rising, in Germany the bund yield up 4bps, 10 yr US treasury yields up 2bps. In Asia stocks were up, Japan gained 1.9%, Hong Kong up .3% and Shanghai higher by .6%.
