The Fuse
In what has been the theme of the week, equity futures are down moderately as the ‘Sunday night Taco party’ has been just about repealed. Stocks continue to be mired in a massive downtrend, Nasdaq in correction territory but some stocks are far worse off than others.
Equities in Europe fell modestly, the STOXX down .2% with drops in France and Germany. The FTSE however was up .2%, US dollar index flat. Gold is bouncing back but silver slightly lower. Crude oil is on the move, up 2% and nearly $100 on WTI. In Japan stocks were off .4%, Hong Kong climbed .4% while Shanghai rose up .6%. Yields are moving up, 10 yr US treasury higher by 3bps and German bund yields up 1bp.
