Today’s webinar was packed to the gills with people eager to learn more about how to trade fat tails. Before I dove into the main topic, I spent time discussing the current market structure, including the VIX, Fed Funds Futures, and price action, which has been impressive since the last jobs report (I blogged about it last week). It appears the market may be going sideways for a bit – unless something happens to derail the train.
My main topic, of course, was on how to trade fat tails, aka, a stock that is poised to accelerate out of its Bollinger bands. This is an unusual condition, but it presents a chance to bank some major profits when trading options.
At the end of our session, I took several good questions and shared some new chart ideas.
