Options Trading Webinar: Marc Chaikin On Trading in 2016
We are starting 2016 off with one of our favorite guests, Marc Chaikin, who always has incredible insights to share. During this webinar, we focused on trading in 2016. Markets have started poorly in the new year; in fact, it was the worst four day start of a year ever for the Dow Industrials. The sentiment has turned quite sour and it appears the bottom has not been reached, but we expect to see some sort of relief rally – it will probably be short lived. We looked over the charts, which clearly show that the trend is down and the futures curve is inverted.

This Week’s Market Action
The new year has started out very poorly. Traders have little interest in stocks, and their malaise could be an indicator that the economy is headed for a slowdown (economic data continues to be weak). The VIX has risen sharply since a big spike on Monday, sentiment is mixed (neutral to bearish), puts/calls were elevated once again, and though breadth pushed lower, we have some signs of exhaustion.
