Three non-voting Fed governors hinted that rate hikes are coming soon, even though the data is spotty at best. The markets’ reaction? Little bid or buying interest.
Meanwhile, the VIX remains stubbornly low and the yield curve for bonds flattened again, signaling their disagreement with the Fed’s growth forecasts. The stock market is watching the bond market, but they seem to be in the same camp: highly skeptical.
