One of the darlings of the pre-2001 dot.com period was Akamai Technologies. Left in the dust by many of its competitors (like Google), Akamai dug deep, created a strong niche in cloud computing and became a must-have vendor for scores of companies and organizations. This strength shows through clearly in their chart. While way below it’s all time highs, the stock is making a nice move here and may push past multi-year highs.
Since December, the pattern of higher highs and higher lows is evident, and the recent pop (arrow) is constructive. Money flow is very strong, and the MACD is on a buy signal. Expect this stock to hit March highs within a few days.
