Equity futures are lower this morning after a volatile overnight session that saw the ES futures up 20 at one point and down 40 at another. This is a roughly 1% move that is being triggered by a lack of liquidity and worry over high stock prices, along with high uncertainty.
Stocks in Europe showed modest gains, the STOXX up .1% led by modest gains in France. FTSE was also higher, gaining .4% while the US dollar was flat. Gold and silver getting pounded, down better than 2% on gold and 5% on silver, bitcoin is also lower. Yields are down, the German bunds and US 10 yr treasury both of 2bps, Stocks in Asia were lower with Japan off .4%, Chinese markets were closed for Golden Week.
