The Fuse
US equity futures are retreating this morning but the real time hours could be a different story. Worries over a conflict in Iran has oil prices up early today but gold has not responded, that is curious. Usually when tensions escalate gold and silver are the first to respond. Perhaps the selling was just overnight.
Stocks in Europe fell slightly, the STOXX off .1% while the FTSE was down more, off .3%. The US dollar index dropped again, another .1%, gold is barely changed while silver is up .7%. Crude oil is above $66 now and making its way to $70-72. Japan was up .6%, Chinese markets are still closed for golden week, Yields climbed in Germany and the US 10 yr bond.
