The Fuse
US equity futures are down modestly following the weekend and a rather large options expiration on Friday. Stocks are still stuck in a range, call it 6800-7000 on the SPX 500 and cannot seem to gain any traction. With a big storm in the Northeast there may be nothing but sellers stepping in today.
Stocks fell modestly in Europe, the STOXX off by .3% led down by Germany and France. The FTSE lost .1%, US dollar indext dropped .2%, gold is higher as is silver, up 5%. Crude oil is flat after a turbulent overnight session. Hong Kong came back from holiday and ripped higher by 2.5%, Japan and Shanghai were closed. Yields on US 10 yr treasuries fell by 1bp.
