The Fuse
Equity futures are trying to bounce back from a miserable Monday. Stocks headed south from the start of trading yesterday, we’ll see if that same situation occurs but no question the dip buyers will be looking in earnest today.
The poor action in the US spread to the euro area, STOXX was lower by .2% and led down by France and Germany. FTSE also fell .2%, yields in Germany dropped 1bp while in the US the 10 yr treasury yield bounced 1bp. The dollar index rose .1%, gold pulling back but silver still with a strong bid, crude about unchanged. Japan rose up .9%, the same for Shanghai but Hong Kong lost 1.8% on volume.
