The Fuse
Equity futures are rallying this morning, attempting to recover some gains lost from Friday when the indices closed mostly down 2% or more. Seeing a bit of easing in oil prices but that could just be some profit taking. A deep oversold condition is due for a rally, and that could happen over a few more days, but the damage has been inflicted.
STOXX in Europe were flat overnight but the FTSE rallied .3%. The dollar index fell .2%, gold is down about 1% in volatile trade, silver off as well. Crude oil is down about 2% after a volatile overnight session. Stocks in Asia were mixed, Japan fell .1%, Hong Kong up 1.4% but Shanghai down .3%. Yields eased in Germany and the US, off 2bps in both.
