The Fuse
Equity futures are ripping higher this morning in a sharp reversal after President Trump said ‘negotiations with Iran are going well, they decided to no longer bomb the country’s energy facilities’. Who knows what the truth is here, but suffice to say bulls are going to celebrate here.
STOXX in Europe fell 1.5% in the morning but may recover tomorrow with the turn in US markets. FTSE lost 1.4%, France and Germany fell as well. The US dollar rose .1%, gold and silver are down and crude oil is off sharply, down 10%. The VIX is not down as much however. Yields are up again, German Bunds higher by 1bp and US 10 yr treasuries up 3bps. Japan was down 3.5% while Hong Kong and Shanghai off about the same amount.
