The Fuse
Equity futures are giving it back this morning, falling about half of the total gains from Monday’s sharp rise. If Monday’s rise becomes a failure there will be more downside to come.
Stocks in Europe gained modestly, the STOXX up .4% led by small gains in France and Germany. The FTSE higher by .4% as well. US dollar index up by .2%, oil is rallying back, up 3% but gold and silver are modestly lower. Yields on the 10 yr rose 1 bp in the US but steady in Germany. Over in Asia Japan gained 1.4%, Hong Kong up a robust 2.8% and Shanghai picked up 1.8%.
